  we learn about the book that the maori used to hunt moa bird back then in the olden days in the story it tells that there family wants her to hut with them but she didn't want to hunt she had other thing in her 

mind like painting on walls but her family didn't let her do the things that she wanted so she went to look for a moa to kill but after she found one but she didn't kill because she doesn't hunt down moa so he left it and panting a moa and her on the wall betting to kill it but she didn't her dad fout she killed one moa bird

so after that her wish came true. 

we learn about maoris hunting down moa but a girl in the story stopped all of that hunting so she panted 

on the wall that they betting to kill the moa birds.

maori like hunting but they know that you don't hunt animals you know why that hunt you back because

you hurt them so they didn't care about the rules so that why in the story that the girl didn't kill the moa bird so she panted to betting to kill it... 

 what did maori do the animals ?
